[Photo/Didmus Barasa]Kimilili Constituency's house upgrading programme which is now 80 per cent complete has caught the eye of the United Nations.The UN through the Global Ladder Africa representative Nakia White called area MP Didmus Barasa to request for a meeting.The meeting was held in Nairobi on Saturday where she expressed UN willingness to partner with him."They will tour the constituency on a fact finding mission on Friday next week. They will be seeking to venture in eco toilets and improve housing even further," said Barasa."Towards this end, we shall have public meetings in all the four wards in Kimilili on Friday between 10am and 4pm. The venues will be communicated in due course but I ask you to turn up in large numbers so that we can interact.Later we shall retreat to write a report on specific areas for partnership."He indicated that his water battling plant was also on course and should be up in the next four months.A"A meeting in my office on Tuesday next week will pen down the agreement for the job to start. Note that all these are my personal initiatives for my beloved constituents."He said CDF should address education and security needs as KERRA upgrades the roads under his hawk eye scrutiny. "I invite you to walk with me on this noble initiative to provide the most basic needs ie food, clothing and shelter. This is a God given mandate to humanity," he said.
