Kiambu MCAs are citing nine reasons for his removal which include insulting single women in public and flying a county flag without assembly approval among other charges.

This comes after the ultimatum given to the governor expired. The MCAs also cite Kabogo’s refusal to honour senate summons to answers audit questions about irregular spending.

He is also accused of failing to move the county headquarters from Thika town to Kiambu town where it was slated. The motion that needs 29 signatures to proceed already has 28 and is expected to be tabled before the assembly goes for recess next month.

Limuru MCA Joseph Murugami moved the motion and Ngewa MCA Karungo wa Thangwa seconded it.

Kabogo earlier stated he will not go to the senate but would relocate the headquarters when the offices are completed. Thang’wa had also threatened to sue Kabogo over remarks he made in Limuru publicly accusing him that he is being given money to compel him to go to senate and relocate the headquarters.
