Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday morning, Kabogo dismissed claims that he has amassed a lot of wealth from drug trafficking, accusing his political opponents of propagating the lies.

"The drugs claims are pure rubbish, total nonsense. Why do they only come up during the elections? Why are they not talking about them now when there is no election?" asked Kabogo.

The former Juja MP also trashed allegations that corruption is the foundation on which his wealth is built on, explaining that hard work is what has made him the billionaire he is today.

"Hardwork is the source of my wealth. I'm a businessman with interest in various sectors. Most people don't know that in the year 2000 no one in Kenya used to import more vehicles than me. At the age of 38, I could import a vessel full of vehicles from Japan," he disclosed.

Kabogo's source of riches has often been a subject of public debate but he has always maintained that he is 'clean', attributing his success to determination.
