At Citizen TV on Wednesday, without directly mentioning Ruto's name, Kabogo said those spearheading 2022 presidential campaigns should be charged with treason.

"We have since moved on and even accepted instigated defeats. The country should now cool down as we focus on development.

"Sadly, some people are roaming across the country hiding in projects to campaign for 2022. These are the kind of people who should be charged with treason," said Kabogo.

While Ruto has not been vocal about his 2022 bid, his lieutenants led by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen have been drumming up support for him.

For equity to prevail, Kabogo added, there is need for the country to revisit the constitution and amend laws to bring to end social injustices and inequalities among Kenyan communities.

"We can't say that the law is perfect. It is made by human beings and can be amended. Some of those opposing changes told us few years ago that the constitution was bad," he said in reference to Ruto.

Last year, Kabogo accused Ruto of allegedly stage managing his defeat to Ferdinand Waititu in Jubilee party nominations.

The flamboyant politicians rallied behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga's unity saying it was necessary for stability.
