The two have since reunited after a protracted electioneering period that saw Uhuru's victory nullified by the Supreme Court.

While appearing on Citizen TV, Kabogo further poked holes in Kenya's electoral system adding that the country has never held free and fair elections.

"Truth be told that Kenya has never held free and fair elections. That is a big dream thus the unending debate in every election. If the August polls were free and fair, the Supreme Court could have not nullified it," he said in reference to Uhuru's win.

Kabogo, who lost to Ferdinand Waititu added: "In Kenya, people make choice on ballot but that does not count. Some few individuals decide who becomes the winner through manipulation."

In his campaigns after the nullification, Uhuru always claimed that the judiciary had been used by the opposition to rob the 'will of the people'.

Even after the successful petition, Raila boycotted the October repeat polls which also had Uhuru winning after another landmark Supreme Court ruling.
