Former Kibwezi lawmaker Kalembe Ndile has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to remember him as he makes public appointment’s to his government.

Ndile, whose bid to nominate to the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) by Jubilee Party flopped late last year, now wants president Kenyatta not to forget him.

Speaking to journalists at the Machakos Law Courts on Monday, Ndile said that he is hopeful of being nominated or appointed to a plum job in Jubilee government.

The former lawmaker who unsuccessfully contested for the Mavoko Parliamentary seat in the August 8 polls, hit out at critics questioning the partial cabinet changes announced by the president last week.

Ndile said that the president is within his powers to make nominations and appointment’s stating that critics should keep quiet.

“President Kenyatta is constitutionally mandated to make appointments and he has the power an authority to pick whoever he thinks qualifies for a certain position in government,” he said.

Ndile who dissolved TIP TIP party to merge with Jubilee party in the run to the 2017 general election asked Kenyans to support Uhuru’s government.

He said that it’s only Jubilee government that understands the issues facing the country. “Let’s be firm and support Uhuru because he has the development agenda of the country at heart,” he said.

President Kenyatta last week partial cabinet changes continue to elicit reactions with claims of rifts between him and his deputy William Ruto.

Ruto has however denied claims of ‘bad blood’ between him and the president.

The president is expected to make and more appointments as he restructures the government in his second and final term.
