Speaking to journalists  in Mwingi Town on Saturday, Mulyungi rubbished media reports that Kalonzo is not committed on being sworn in.

The Mwingi Central legislator said that Kalonzo is comitted to NASA agenda contrary to media reports.

The Wiper MP claimed that the media is out to tarnish Kalonzo's 'good name'.

Mulyungi said that some media outlets are  taking the issue of Kalonzo's swearing in personal and using it to intimidate and destroy his repute.

The lawmaker said that Kalonzo is a respected leader with principles, adding that his commitment to NASA reforms agenda cannot be questioned.

"Kalonzo is committed on being sworn in and he will take oath once consultations are complete," he said.

Mulyungi said that as Kamba politicians, they are solidly behind Kalonzo Musyoka.

He said that they are focused on ensuring that the Wiper leader flies the NASA ticket in 2022 whether he is sworn in or not.

Mulyungi also rubbished reports that Wiper could bolt out of NASA.

" We will not be forced out of NASA and we can only move out on our own will," he said.

Mulyungi asked the Wiper leader to stand firm and fight intimidation.

Kalonzo has been under criticism after skipping Raila Odinga's inauguration as the people's president on January 30.

Kalonzo alongside Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula skipped Raila's fete at the last minute.

Kalonzo has been sending mixed signals in regards to being sworn in as the people's deputy president.

On Saturday, during the burial of Dr Lennon Mwambura in Kikambala, Kilifi county, Kalonzo said that he is committed to NASA reforms agenda.

The Wiper leader denied reports of cracks in NASA, saying that the reports are false and a creation of the media.
