In an interview on Radio Jambo, Mutua claimed the Wiper Democratic Movement is unhappy with his progress and is, in retaliation, out to disrupt his services to Machakos residents.

He gave an incident, where he alleged the party moved to court to stall the construction of Konza City, in a bid to deter him from acquiring job opportunities for unemployed youth in Machakos County.

Mutua spoke during the interview on Wednesday morning.

''Wiper has realized that I mean business in my operations, some of its leaders have been in leadership for a long time with nothing to show for it and are therefore out to stop projects initiated to benefit my people,'' Mutua said.

The Maendeleo Chapchap party leader, who also boasted of his speedy development projects, defended the initiatives saying that their speedy completion does not translate to less durability.

''I am fully committed to quality as I ensure that my people get the best within the shortest time possible, Kenyans are tired of sluggish progress. We need to work with speed because the world is changing at an alarming rate,'' Mutua added.

Mutua who has since announced his presidential ambition for the approaching 2022 general polls, is likely to further collide with Kalonzo who has also declared his bid.
