A KenGen engineer and his wife were on Thursday found murdered in their home in Shelly Beach area, Likoni.Confirming the Wednesday night incident, Likoni police boss Benjamin Rotich said the couple appeared to have been tortured before they were strangled to death.He said the engineer, 47, and his 27-year-old wife were blindfolded and had their legs and hands tied, The Star has reported. Rotich said the bodies were found locked in separate rooms after the couple's three children alerted neighbours that they could not access the rooms.The police boss further said that the assailants only made away with the couple's phones."We are yet to establish their motive but its clear their intention was to kill the two," said Rotich, as quoted by the local daily.Detectives from the homicide department have launched investigations into the incident, with several people lined up for interrogation.The bodies were taken to the Coast Provincial General Hospital mortuary.
