Some of the residents claim that the preachers are new and unknown and claim to come from one church in the area.

Simon Musili one of the complaining locals says a law should be put in place in that visitors wishing to visit the residents should first inform the office of the chief or his assistants before embarking on their plan.

He said the action is in a bid to safeguard their property and their kids who happen to be on vacation.

"For our security sake, anyone planning on knocking on our doors whether a preacher or not should first inform the chief or his assistant so that we may know who we are dealing with and who to blame in case of anything," said Musili.

"Most of the times, it's our kids we leave at home and head to work or even we send them to herd or fetch water, what if something happens to them, who do we hold responsible?" he said.

The locals fear that a few individuals may masquerade and purport to be hawkers or preachers and in the long run turn out to be criminals.

They however insisted that they are not against preaching but only interested in ensuring security for their property and children.
