Kibwana said Kalonzo should be a man on his own and stop following Odinga.

"I wish to urge Kalonzo to stand firm and forget any deal they entered with Raila. He should not have anybody to negotiate with him but instead define his own political future after the 2017 polls,” Kibwana said.

The Makueni governor noted that Raila made his own decision and agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta without involving Kalonzo who was his running mate during the last year’s poll, a clear indication that Raila won’t live by the deal he made with Kalonzo.

Kibwana expressed his misgivings about NASA’s future following Raila Odinga’s agreement to work with the Jubilee Party.

“It is time Kalonzo ignored those leaders approaching him to form coalitions because such people end up dumping him,” Kibwana said.

He stated that the opposition can be strong ahead of the 2022 polls even without Raila and his ODM party.
