Kingi, who has been always a major critic of the Jubilee government, has said he will make a statement concerning the future plans of his  political career.

Mr Kingi has been silent since his ODM party leader joined hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who agreed to work together.

Earlier on, Kingi and his close friend, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, were planning to team up against DP William Ruto come 2022. Kingi had also hinted at forming a Coastal political party to facilitate his political ambitions.

Governor Kingi has said he is currently focusing on doing something important which is making him not to say anything concerning Uhuru-Odinga pact that has changed political stands in Coast, and across the country. He said what he is working on now will change the political landscape of the nation.

"I have been silent because I don't want to lose focus of what I am doing now, am sure it will change the political landscape," said Governor Kingi, as quoted by Daily Nation yesterday.
