At the University, his outgoing character propelled him to the top where he was elected Chair of the Student Organization of Nairobi University (SONU).

In 2017, he contested the Embakasi East parliamentary seat  and won.

Babu has been arrested severally and charged over a umber of issues with one of the biggest being insulting the Head of State.

Last year while speaking at Kawangware, Babu allegedly insulted the Head of State and his family. He was later arrested, charged and released by the court only to be re-arrested before leaving the court premises.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna on the other hand, was born in Magina Village, Kisumu County.

He has been in the headline for the past four months after he was arrested in February, and held in incommunicado before being deported to Canada despite several court orders directing for his release.

After the deportation, the vocal lawyer attempted to come back to the country a second time but was again deported.

The second deportation was more dramatic as Miguna claimed he was drugged and forced to board the plane.

During his arrest his house in Runda was destroyed.
