Kisumu County will host opposition leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in ceremony if other counties reject the offer, a NASA Senator has said.Kisumu Senator Fred Outa said consultations among leaders in the county are at an advanced stage to choose the oath-taking ceremony's venue just in case other NASA counties reject hosting the event, which the government has branded as treason."Governor Prof Anyang Nyong'o, I and other leaders in the county have already agreed to host the event. Nothing will stop us from swearing in the people's president," Outa told journalists in Kisumu on Monday evening.Outa spoke a day after it emerged billionaire businessman Jimmy Wanjigi and Raila's former adviser Miguna Miguna are pushing hard for the ceremony to be held despite opposition from some NASA co-principals including Kalonzo Musyoka.NASA principals Raila, Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula met on Monday and Tuesday and among points they discussed was the planned swearing in of the former prime minister on January 30.So far 20 counties have passed the people's assembly motion which recognises Raila as the people’s president in those respective counties.Outa said Raila outrightly won the August 8 election but was allegedly rigged by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) which he accused of working with State House to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta retains power.
