Three families of Lake Nakuru chopper victims have lamented over the ongoing recovery mission at the lake.

The families complained that the exercise has taken too long and degenerated into a joke. Angry family members of three victims, John Mapozi, Veronica Muthoni and Sam Gitau whose bodies are still missing, confronted the National Disaster Operation Centre on Wednesday demanding answers why the exercise has taken too long.

The families said the Kenyan mercenaries have failed to recover the kin's body and should be allowed to contact the Israel government for help.Philip Kamau, a relative of Veronica Muthoni, said the exercise has been handled casually since the incident.

“Is this the best technology or it is what is being offered to us because of our level in society,” asked Mr Philip Kamau, a relative of Ms Veronicah Muthoni.
