A section of ODM leaders from Nyamira now wants sentiments by ex-presidential candidate Nazlin Umar over DP William Ruto 'taken seriously'.
On her Facebook post, Umar, who is also believed to have be Majority Leader Aden Duale's girlfriend, asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to arrest Ruto over contraband sugar.
"It is DP William Ruto behind the poisonous sugar and his right hand minions. I have said what other leaders fear. Stop going for his proxies," he said.
Further, she said, Uhuru's legacy will be badly tainted if he does not act with speed to tame Ruto by suspending him from office.
And at Nyamira, a section of ODM leaders now wants detectives to interrogate Ruto over his 'apparent wealth'.
"He has apparently become wealth yet we all know what he earns and his assets. It is high time Uhuru takes Umar's expose very serious," said county chair Richard Kaka.
Kitutu Masaba branch chairman Douglas Maati added: "It is funny that Ruto is now running away from lifestyle audit. What Umar said could be true and this is time he is investigated."
While addressing a gathering in Manga on Saturday however, Ruto's confidant Shadrack Mose, discredited lifestyle audit adding that it will 'nab wrong people'.
At Uasin Gishu, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi further dared Uhuru to start auditing his own family which he says could have amassed wealth using unscrupulous means.
