Nairobi Govenor Mike Sonko on Tuesday night hosted Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DP President William Ruto in a grand Iftar dinner at Charter Hall, City Hall.
Ruto and Kalonzo shared same table during the dinner.
The meeting has not impressed a section of Nyamira politicians with some saying the meeting has nothing to do with 2022 politics.
“It is not a surprise to us Ruto meeting former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka. We are used to such meeting but what I know Kalonzo will not form alliance with Ruto ahead of the 2022 politics,” said West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi.
Borabu MP Ben Momanyi said the two leaders met to eat and not planning on the 2022 politics.
“Ruto and Kalonzo were invited to take part in the dinner to celebrate with the Muslim faithful. The event was not political and no alliance between Kalonzo and Ruto will work,” said the Wiper Party MP.
The lawmaker urged leaders to spread the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga and embrace unity for the purpose of serving Kenyans.
