Thirteen (13) counties have approved request by NASA secretariat to provide venue for planned swearing-in of opposition leader Raila Odinga, Noah Akala has confirmed.

On Sunday, Akala's steering committee will choose from among the thirteen before proceeding with final plans ahead of Tuesday's function.

"We have received 13 requests even though we wrote twelve letters. This shows how people are eager for the function," he said.

Akala further noted: "The committee will seat on Sunday and choose from the 13. The venue must be accessible to many people."

Among the counties jostling to host the unique event include Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori, Busia, Vihiga, Bungoma and Kakamega.

Others are Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Machakos and Makueni with all having passed the controversial People's Assembly Bill.

Although it is not yet clear whether Odinga will take a presidential oath of office, Siaya senator James Orengo insists the everything will be done within the law.

Conspicuously, Nyamira and Kisii Counties never made an application with Governor Nyagarama claiming that NASA was yet to send People's Assembly Bill to the county.

However, ODM Executive Director has refuted the claims insisting that all NASA leaning counties received notices of motion.

"Nyamira received the motion and I don't think there was any county left out," he told the reporter on further inquiry.
