Mbula on Friday posted on her Facebook page that Raila's meetings with former presidents Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki are of no importance to common 'mwananchi' hence should not make breaking news.

"So Raila meeting Mwai Kibaki is breaking news, whoever called you 'githeri' media wasn't wrong," Mbula posted.

The Wiper MCA said there are more important issues which should be highlighted by the media instead of following what the former Prime Minister does each single day.

"We have news out there that can help 'mwananchi', but the media can't see them since they are busy following what Raila is doing and where he is going," reads Mbula's post.

Mbula said the media need to improve on its level of news coverage and learn to focus on more important issues.

The MCA was the first politician to castigate Raila when he reached out to President Uhuru Kenyatta for a handshake.

She said Raila was the real 'watermelon'.

This is not the first time the media has been attacked for allegedly focusing on unimportant issues and forgetting the more important ones.
