A man is nursing serious injuries at a Nyamira hospital after he was attacked for writing love messages to a married woman.
The incident happened in Etibu Nyakemimo, Nyamira County on Wednesday.
It is alleged that the victim identified as Osoro has been writing love message to his cousin’s wife identified as Magoma.
Magoma’s husband found the love messages in his wife’s phone and immediately went to ask Osoro why he has been seducing his wife.
“The woman’s husband is violent. He found love messages sent by the victim in his wife’s phone. He rushed to the homestead of the victim and asked him why he was seducing his wife.
"The victim failed to explain and the suspect took a panga he was hiding in his jacket and attacked the victim,” said a witness Monica Kerema.
Kerema added that the victim sustained serious head injuries and he was bleeding because the suspect cut him on the forehead.
“Neighbors rushed the victim to hospital where is currently being treated and the woman with her husband have gone into hiding,” added Kerema.
Area Nyumba Kumi official Enock Mokora said the suspect and his wife will be arrested because it seems they had hatred with the victim.
