It was a Sunday full of drama at Menyikwa village after a twenty-five-year-old man beat his wife mercilessly for allegedly shaving her pubic hair.
Joe Mogaka, who is the husband, was uncontrollably angry after he found out that his wife of five years had shaved her pubic hair completely leading to exchange of words between the two culminating to a fight.
According to Mogaka, the shaving was enough proof that his wife had an affair with another man who requested her to shave.
"How can she do that? She has been natural since we married but i don't understand why she shaved. She is cheating on me with another man," said the irate Mogaka.
The screams from the wife, Ann Kerubo, drew the neighbours' attentions who came to her rescue.
"I shaved to impress my man. I have not had any affair with any man. I just read from the internet how to keep clean," said Kerubo.
Confirming the incident, area Chief Daniel Onkara urged the resident to solve their family matters wisely to avoid public embarrassment.
"Married couples should settle their differences maturely to avoid such incidents. It's so shameful to solve such a case," Onkara said.
Kerubo who sustained bruises on her face was taken to HEMA hospital for medical attention.
