A Kisii man shocked Embakassi residents when he was found in possession of a coffin which he uses to ripen bananas.
The man only identified as Osoro is said to have recently moved to the city estate from Keumbu where he uses to live with his family.
"He has been selling the bananas that are so sweet that we even doubted him forcing us to investigate where he gets the fruits from," said Jeff Orang'i a local.
Mr Orangi narratedd how he decides to pay him a visit only to get him taking the bananas from a coffin.
He then raised alarm prompting neighbors to storm the house.
“This is where I put my bananas to ripen up, once I put them here, the ripen within three days and ready for sale”, Osoro told them.
The shocked neighbors could not hear any of his explanations and started beating him up.
It is during the commotion that the landlord intervened and disperseed the crowd before asking Mr Osoro to vacate his apartment.
"I have never witnessed such an incident. I was shocked that I asked him to vacate immediately as neighbors were threatening to lynch him," said the landlord.
