Kibwana said it is high time the former Vice President stopped crying over 'spilled milk' and stand on his feet.

He said Kalonzo should not allow anyone to negotiate on his behalf and instead initiate the handshakes.

"Raila's handshakes are his and Kalonzo should stop waiting to be included, he should instead start defining his political trajectory in preparation for 2022," Kibwana said.

Kibwana spoke in Makueni on Monday.

He asked Kalonzo to directly talk to President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and other national leaders.

The governor advised Kalonzo to make peace with his political nemesis from the Ukambani region in a bid to unite the community.

Kibwana said as at now, NASA coalition has no flag bearer after 2017 elections hence Kalonzo, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula should start shaping their political future.

"In my humble view, Kalonzo, Mudàvadi, and Wetangula must define their own future politics without reference to the flagship business of 2017. That period is now closed," he said.

He said the trio should move on with hard feelings and when the time comes, Raila Odinga will decide whether to pay his political debt or not but either way they should hope for victory.
