Sensi Ward MCA Paul Angwenyi has accused Kisii County Governor James Ongwae of sidelining Sensi ward in his administration.
The ward rep on Wednesday claimed that Ongwae has not considered hiring residents from Sensi ward to work in the county.
“I will not sit and watch Ongwae sidelining my ward. No one has benefited from job opportunities in the county yet I mobilized my constituents to vote for Governor Ongwae who vied on an ODM party ticket,” he said.
Angwenyi added that since Ongwae was declared a winner in the last year’s polls he has never stepped foot in Sensi ward.
"During last year’s campaigns Ongwae could tour the ward daily but since he was helped to win the seat he has never stepped foot in the ward to say even thank you. He should visit the ward and tell residents what he has in store for them before we denounce our support to Ongwae’s government,” he said.
He called on residents not to fall into Ongwae’s lies and tricks.
"Residents should be firm and push Ongwae to consider our youths who are qualified to work at the county. We won’t accept anything but employment to our youths,” he said.
