Akatsa of the Jeresulsam Church whose main branch is in Nairobi's Kawangware is not the normal or ordinary preacher to you.

Akasta's church is led by strict rules and virtue's that those who nlfail to adhere to them are chased away from the church or punished.

The prophetess commonly known as 'Mummy' by the worshippers is strict when it comes to Bible teachings and God's ways.

She does not entertain nonsense from worshippers and those who fail to observe the rules are given harsh punishments including being ex-communicated from the church.

The church that boast's of over 500,000 worshippers has branches in Nairobi and other parts of the country.

Akatsa's first rule is observing time. To her, time is what matters and she does not entertain worshippers who come to church late.

In most of the time, church service at Jerusalem begins at 10am and by this time worshippers are expected to have assembled at the church entrance.

The door to the church is opened as worshippers one by one stream into the church compound.

Those who come later are chased away and miss the church service.

Akasta says that time is of essence and that God does not entertain lazy people.

Akatsa's church is also strict on worshippers who engage in wayward behaviour.

Worshippers who practice immorality or have extramarital affairs are condemned and not allowed in the church.

In case a member is found to have 'cheated' on his or her wife or vice versa he or she is punished by carrying the partner on the back around the shopping center.

Akatsa's church also values the family as a unit and encourages worshippers to respect each other.

She encourages parents to teach their children good behaviour and remain true to Christian teachings.

Church service at Jerusalem often starts from 10am to 8pm.

Prophetess Akatsa is also generous and often gifts worshipper's with food harvested from her farms across the country.

She does not demand money in exchange of the food.

In the church, men, women, and children do not mix or mingle and worshippers do not sit on chairs but on the floor.

The prophetess herself does not have a special chair or receive any special treatment as it is the case in other churches and often leads the church in song and dance, preaching and later prayers.
