Isanda wakes up at 5 am to open his kiosk which is beside the Kisii campus road to sell mandazi. Later in the day, he sales chips and samosas till late in the night.

Isanda, who has been in this business for 7 years, has been in a position to pay all his bills including schools fees for his two sons, one in high school while the other in primary school.

With a minimal profit of Sh2000 per day, he explained that it has not been easy, keeping in mind that students of Kisii university are his main customers.

"It has not been so easy. It needs a lot of sacrifices to keep going. Finance issues and debts are my main challenges, though I am happy because of the ability to fend for my family," he said.

"Youths should respect any type of hustle regardless of whether you have papers or not," said Isanda.#Kisiitalk
