In a statement through his lawyer Nelson Havi, Miguna asked the state to issue him with a valid Kenyan passport. The passport should be delivered to him through the Canadian embassy.

The state is also required to purchase and send him an air ticket from Toronto to Kenya. The air ticket should be before 26th March so that he arrives in Kenya in the morning of the 26th March.

Also Mr. Havi asked the interior ministry to ensure that Miguna is granted safe re-entry into the country. More so, he added that it should be ensured that Miguna stays in Kenya freely as the High Court and the Court of Appeal had ordered.

Miguna Miguna also wanted a written confirmation that his return in Kenya will not be met by hostility of any case. He is to be affirmed through a written letter that he will not be denied entry into the country, detained, harmed or deported back.

Mr. Havi said, “You must also confirm to us that Miguna will be granted unrestricted access to Kenya.”
