Students in Kisii county have been warned against subjecting newcomers to bullying as they would be arrested and arraigned in a court of law.The warning was issued during the distribution of the government's free textbooks.Darius Mogaka, a Ministry of Education official, said that the vice was a criminal offence punishable by law.''We are asking you to treat the newcomers with respect. Welcome them, don't bully them as used to be the case. Things have changed now and anyone found engaging in bullying will be dealt with the full force of the law,'' Mr. Mogaka said.Bullying has long been an issue in Kenyan schools that has resulted in students being maimed and even deaths.
