With just a few days into his second term, Kibra MP Ken Okoth is a man on everyone's radar in the constituency.

While sending him messages and wishes on his birthday marked on January 7, Kibra residents were of praise and scorn to the MP in equal measure.

The MP had taken to Facebook to ask residents to advise him on his future decisions.

"January 7th is here... turning 40. Tell me one or two things I should absolutely do before I turn 50 ten years from today. The best is yet to come," he posted.

Some thought that he had abandoned the gusto with which he tackled their issues in the first term of office and said he was now focussing on irrelevant matters.

"Happy birthday Hon. My prayer for you is that you get back to the Ken of your 1st term, be that leader who doesn't take his people to the battlefield and when they get hurt you blame your enemy. Love God and you will automatically love your people. Mentor as many people as you can but don't politically radicalize them. Wish you well in your 2nd term and happy new year," said Tabbie Kariouki.

Newton Omari said:

"I think you can make a good Governor for Nairobi one day. Get the right people around you and focus on service delivery to the people. Play your politics right and work hard."

Simon Gichia, a Jubilee follower, was full of praise for the legislator.

"Servant leader, keep up mhesh you represent your predecessor more... Though in Jubilee but you are a leader keep on keeping up... I admire your kind of balanced politics it's very hard more in Nairobi," he said.

Eric Oparo wrote:

"As a people of Katwekera we look forward to keep enjoying your great leadership and pray that the good Lord keeps guiding you in all wisdom as you continue with your transformative agenda in Kibra."
