A section of leaders from Nyamira County have dismissed ODM leader Raila Odinga insisting that he is no longer the leader of opposition.

Recently, Raila reached a truce with president Uhuru Kenyatta in what he called 'changing way of doing things'.

"We have been doing things same way and time has come for us to change. It is now about our country," he said.

And Raila Odinga's strongholds have been on the receiving end with Gusii and coastal regions being main targets if his competitors.

On Friday, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, a former supporter of Raila warned Kalonzo Musyoka against supporting Raila ever again.

"We have nothing to do with him. He is no longer an opposition leader and we wish him well in his new partnership with Jubilee," he said.

His West Mugirango counterpart Vincent Kemosi added: "It is time for him to retire. We cannot allow him to continue undermining NASA leaders."

Similar sentiments were echoed by Victor Swanya, who also doubles as Wiper Vice Chairman countywide.

While campaigning in Nyamira on Friday, Moses Wetangula accused Raila of betrayal and warned the Gusii region against voting for him in 2022.
