Last week, an agitated Sonko moved to court to seek orders to stop payment of Sh6.2 million to a firm linked to the MP over supply of printing materials.

And back at home, residents have accused the MP of corruption, incompetence and maladministration throughout his tenure since 2013.

"His leadership epitomizes high level corruption and it is time for Sonko to apprehend him for the sake of Borabu people," said Samson Omosa, KUPPET official in Borabu Watchtower WhatsApp.

Another resident, Evans Nyayiemi said: "This is a perfect opportunity to seek justice and Sonko should move with speed and take action against that corrupt fellow."

So controversial is the Wiper MP that Sonko also moved to court to demand Sh58 million which was part of Sh60 million the MP had been paid in a case he represented City Hall.

While Momanyi quoted the figure to be 800 million, Sonko had moved to court where he secured order that narrowed the figure to Sh 2 million.

In his defense, the MP has persistently accused Sonko of politicising his legal profession and vowed to fight back.
