Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria's declarations that Kiambu county will give Deputy President William Ruto 1.6 million votes in the 2022 general elections has been lauded by a section of Eldoret residents.

Kuria said it was only DP Ruto who stood firmly with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013 without giving him threats and conditions like the rest.

"Last year we had an election, in Kiambu county, we gave our beloved president 1.2 million votes. By 2022, the votes that will be here will be around 1.5 - 1.6 million. I assure you, we will give you 1.59 million votes and the remaining one vote we will give the kitendawili person (Raila)," he said.

The statement was warmly received by Eldoret locals, the hometown of DP Ruto. Here are some of the reactions to Kuria's remarks;
