North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko has asked Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to arrest youths who misuse social media.
According to the lawmaker, a section of youths are being used by political losers in the county to spread propaganda about the current leaders.
“Some youths are being used by local politicians to spread propaganda that Nyamira MPs embezzled money meant for funeral.
"No money was diverted as claimed by the youths on social media. Police should arrest such youths spreading hatred,” he said.
Nyamoko denied claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta gave Sh1.5 million to the 9 families.
“The head of state only gave out Sh1 million and not Sh1.5 million. We are tired of prolonged and hatred politics. Local leaders who are aspiring to be future leaders should stop engaging local youths to spread propaganda,” he added.
The lawmaker lauded Nyamira leaders for their unity to comfort the 9 bereaved families.
