Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has asked DP William Ruto to stop worrying because Mt.
Kenya region will support him for Presidency in 2022.
According to Waititu, Ruto should stop panicking because it is too early to tell who is fit to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 when he retires.
“Ruto should ignore the rumours going round that he will not get the support from the electorates in Mt. Kenya region. It is too early to tell who will succeed Uhuru in 2022. There are high chances that Ruto will get the support from the people in Mt. Kenya region,” said Waititu.
The governor challenged Jubilee leaders to embrace unity and focus on developing the country.
"Jubilee leaders who have been spreading propaganda should stop and help President Uhuru and his DP Ruto to push the development agenda to change this nation. Jubilee and opposition leaders must stop talking about 2022 politics because the electorates have not seen any tangible development after the 2017 polls,” he added.
Waititu was speaking during a radio interview at Kameme Fm on Monday morning.
