Former Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze. [Photo: the-star]Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has mourned the death of the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze. Nyenze, 60, died at Nairobi hospital on Wednesday while receiving treatment. He was battling colon cancer since 2008.Mutua in a condolence message wrote on his twitter account shortly after the passing away of the MP, said Nyenze was his friend and described him as a smart & diplomatic leader.Mutua further revealed that the later legislator told him he was fed up with sycophancy perpetuated in in the Ukambani region and that he supported his politics of development."I am saddened by the passing of Hon. Nyenze - a good man, a friend and a voice of reason. He was a smart & diplomatic leader who cared about his people. He told me he was fed up with sycophancy perpetuated in our region and supported my politics of development. I will miss him," Mutua wrote Wednesday.
