Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has sent a stern warning to bloggers who run false and negative stories about his administration.
Mutua claims certain bloggers and journalists are working with his political enemies to taint his administration.
According to the Machakos governor, some bloggers have been running false articles on their blogs aimed at inciting locals against his government.
In an interview with a local daily on Monday, the governor vowed to institute legal action against the bloggers if they do not stop their alleged malice.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader asked Machakos residents to ignore the alleged propaganda being propagated against him.
Mutua said certain forces are against and threatened with his 2022 presidential bid hence want to scuttle it.
"My supporters and more so Machakos people should ignore this cheap propaganda being peddled on some blogs by detractors," Mutua said.
The governor said he will not be distracted in his development agenda.
He said his focus is on serving Machakos people even as he sets the pace for his 2022 presidential bid.
Mutua told off politicians questioning his development agenda.
He said some of those criticizing him have not done anything for the Machakos locals and should shut up and allow him to work for the people.
Governor Mutua has been under criticism from a section of local leaders who accuse him of neglecting his duties and focusing on his 2022 presidential bid.
