Speaking while he addressed parliamentary journalists that he was hosting at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday, Muturi urged them to understand the operations of Parliament and the legislative process so as to enhance an informed reportage.

Speaking during the event, the Nation Media Group's Digital Editor who is also the Chair of the Editors Guild, Chirchill Omondi, called on the journalists to uphold media ethics and integrity as they are the vanguards of the people in their duty of oversighting Parliament.

Former Guild Chair who is the Digital and Innovation Manager at Citizen TV, Linus Kaikai called on Parliament to protect the freedom of the media and reiterated on Chirchill's call on journalists to remain true to their calling.
