The urchin was none other than Godfrey Matheri alias Fongo who was lated nicknamed the Naivasha vampire due to his cannibal ways.

Fongo was arrested after one of his victims, Esther Akinyi, miraculously escaped from his hiding hole where she had been held captive.

She told police of the macabre killings that were happening in the mud house in the crime-prone Kihoto slum.

Crime busters swung into action and arrested Matheri who led them to exhume the body of a woman with some parts missing from a shallow grave under his bed.

In the full glare of cameras, Fongo said he committed the evil acts as instructed by a local pastor.

The suspect said he drunk human blood and sold his victims’ body parts to members of a religious cult.

“I had kidnapped two women and kept them in my house. I did all that under strict instructions from a pastor. I remember one day after draining two mugs of blood from the ladies, he said I had killed enough for the cause. I used to drain human blood, which I packed in bottles and delivered to the pastor at his church between 7pm and midnight,” Fongo said.

After grilling the confessed cannibal, police combed Naivasha and arrested the pastor.

The man of God however said the suspect was insane and they just mentioned him because they know him.

He also accused his detractors of framing him.
