While Raila has remained mum over plans to introduce PM position through a referendum, his troops among them ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has come out open about the plans.

At a fund drive on Sunday in his constituency, Osoro, who has since shifted allegiance to DP William Ruto, said Raila is keen to introduce parliamentary system of government.

"Some children of the rich are now shifting goal posts. They want to push for constitutional changes so that they can be PM after failing to win presidency," said Osoro, in indirect reference to Raila.

He further said: "He is now keen to create positions just to shortchange children of the peasants. We shall oppose those final attempts by him to be PM again."

Ever since reconciling with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila has been meeting high profile leaders, in a move believed to push for a refurendum.

Although Uhuru has remained mum on the matter, it is however believed that he is keen to support Raila's move.

But according to Osoro, Gusii leaders would traverse in both Nyamira and Kisii Counties to oppose referendum pushes.
