A family in Mosocho is mourning tragic death of a 32-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed to death by his elder brother on Friday evening.
David Onyonka, a step brother to Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, was reportedly killed by his elder brother, Karim, after minor differences.
Eye witnesses say Karim arrived at their home late in the evening and ordered David to reduce volume of TV, an order which was not complied immediately.
And viewing this as defiance, Karim is said to have taken a knife, stabbed his brother repeatedly. He died instantly in front of terrified wife and other family members.
"They have been having domestic differences and this was just a culmination of it. He just used TV volume as an excuse," said a neighbour who spoke in confidence.
Provincial administration representative Charles Nyagaka said police have taken over investigations.
"The suspect was arrested and he is in police custody. Investigations are ongoing and that is all I can say," he said.
Sources say David was born to Dr. Zachary Onyonka out of wedlock but is he a recognized family member to his late father, who served the region as MP before his son, Richard took over.
