The fate of the Bungoma Senator who is also the Ford Kenya boss in house leadership was sealed when ODM-allied Senators unanimously replaced him with Siaya's James Orengo- a move which has threatened the unity of the opposition outfit even as other coalition partners protest the move terming it as a plot to wreak the alliance.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday, Onyonka who is also the Ford Kenya Vice Chairman warned that NASA risks collapsing following the ouster.

" If ODM Senators have decided that they do not need Wetangula, we will accept that but there is a possibility that NASA will die," said the lawmaker.

While warning that the move will thwart opposition's effort to form government in 2022, Onyonka said that only unity will guarantee NASA success in future.

" Anytime the opposition splits, it cannot win power," warned the former assistant minister.

The Kitutu Chache MP's sentiment comes at a time Raila Odinga is keen to save the beleaguered Ford Kenya boss after holding a meeting with NASA Senators in a bid to reverse the ouster.
