The NEMA officials led by Samson Bokea said they have recommended a number of offenders for prosecution but the laws are weak.

"We have arrested several for violating environmental laws but the prosecution has failed in their roles. This has frustrated our efforts to ensure the environment is safe and clean for everyone," he said.

He demanded the prosecution of environment offenders so as to keep the environment clean

This comes after residents raised alarm over poor drainage systems among other issues in the region.
