A Jubilee MP in Nyamira County has claimed that NASA leader Raila Odinga wants to drain this country financially following his bid to call for a referendum.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko claimed that the referendum will see the country spend billions of shillings which instead should be used to do development in the country.
“Raila is selfish and want the country to drain financially. There is no money to be used in referendum to meet Raila’s demand.
"Let him accept to retire because he has attained his retirement age because we can’t afford to have a referendum in this country,” he said.
He called on President Uhuru Kenyatta not to succumb to pressure from the NASA politicians who are pushing for a referendum to benefit themselves.
“Uhuru should be firm like DP William Ruto to oppose Raila’s referendum calls. If it is the handshake let Raila denounce it and go on retire because his age doesn’t allow him to be in active politics,” said Nyamoko.
The lawmaker reiterated that there is need for the government to focus on development to improve road infrastructures among other development projects.
