Nzambani rock, locally known as 'Ivia ya Nzambani' is mysteriously situated about 8 kilometers from Kitui town, along the rough Kitui-Mutitu road in Nzambani market.

The rock is particularly famous for the myths surrounding it.

It is believed that anyone who goes round the rock seven times changes into a member of the opposite sex immediately.

Despite the fact that no one has ever attempted to go round it seven times, the tale has been passed from one generation to another.

While visiting the rock as a tourist, you will be charged Sh1,000 for adults and children Sh500.

However, if you want to know more about the mysterious rock, you will have to part with Sh200 to get the detailed information.

The rock is undoubtedly one of the country’s largest stone outcrops.

It's said to have housed some ritual practises in the past.

Residents claim the stone is growing due to it's shinning allure and the undeniable fact that despite the trees around continue growing throught the years, they never surprass the rock's height.

From the top of the rock, one has a 360 degrees view of the Kitui County.

The rock is visible from a distance of 60 miles away.
