Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama insists that he shall work with the national government to spur growth in the South Nyanzan county.

With a looming swearing in of Raila Odinga and a battle in court with his rival Walter Nyambati, Nyagarama is facing loyalty challenge that would define his future.

"I am keen to work with the national government to spur growth. Time for politics is over and this is the time to work with our government," he said.

It is not the first time the county boss is pledging allegiance to Uhuru, given at the eve of Christmas, he also pledged to work with the government.

During the December holidays, an under siege Nyagarama insisted that the county would pass People's Assembly bill, something that is yet to happen.

"The government is seemingly in Jubilee. He cares less about NASA and this should be reviwed,' said Youth leader Beavon Magare.

Early this week, MPs allied to NASA from Gusii region, led by Kitutu Chache South's Richard Onyonka, also pledged to work with Uhuru.
