Monday, Commissioners Consolata Maina, Margaret Mwachanya and Paul Kurgat announced their decision to leave office protesting chairman Wafula Chebukati's alleged perilous leadership.

" If you are appointed to an independent commission please be independent. Do not work or resign at the behest of a political hand or puppeteer at the background. The infightings boil down to personal interests," said the vocal politician during an interview on Citizen TV.
