Samuel Omwando who unsuccessfully vied for Kitutu Chache South MP during the last year’s polls on Sunday said he is not pleased with the ODM party leadership.

According to Omwando, ODM party leader Raila Odinga should retire to allow junior politicians to lead the party.

“Raila’s leadership in ODM is making the party be worse each day. I wish to urge Raila to retire failure to which will have to look for an alternative party to join ahead of 2022 polls,” he said.

The vocal politician called on elected ODM MPs, MCAs, senators, and governors to ensure Raila goes on retirement ahead of the 2022 elections.

“Elected ODM leaders should ignore Raila’s leadership and force him to go on retirement because the government is ready to give him a pension to enjoy his old age out of politics,” he added.

He said ODM party leaders in Kisii County will mobilize locals to stop supporting Raila if he won’t retire in 2022.

Omwando said he is warming up to join Jubilee party or any other party which will help him clinch Kitutu Chache South MP seat in 2022.
