Nominated Jubilee Senator Millicent Omanga has announced that she will be seeking an elective post in Gusii region.
Ms Omanga said that she had realised that majority of the politicians in the region did not care about voters.
According to her, there was a need for her and other young leaders to take over and take the region forward as well as empower youth.
"I am going to join other vibrant young leaders from the region to change the face of our community and that can be achieved once I announce my next political move," said Omanga.
Though she did not specify in which county she was going to run for an elective post.
The nominated senator also said that she was in support of putting up of the Nyangweta Sugar Complex.
"We're tired of Gusii leaders who want to derail the community projects like Nyangweta Sugar Complex that will create more jobs as well us uplift the economy of the region," said Omanga
