[Photo|CGKK]Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya on Friday hosted the CeCs to a colourful dinner in honour of the first successful term of the devolved system of governance in Kakamega County under his leadership.Speaking during the event held in a hotel in Mumias Town, the governor thanked all the CeCs and their Chief Officers for their tireless dedication in serving residents, despite afew challenges they encountered when in office.As pioneers of devolution, Governor Oparanya called on all the outgoing executive members to hold their heads high in their future endeavours and proudly celebrate their positions in the society as being the first architectures of the structures and policies that will forever remain the historical foundation of governance in Kakamega County.The county now awaits next week Wednesday when the governor will officially name his new cabinet and Chief Officers.Also present at the event were the Deputy Governor Philip Kutima, Speaker of the County Assembly Morris Buluma, Majority Leader of County Assembly Joel Ongoro, Chairperson County Public Service Board Rodah Masaviru among other invited guests.
