Flamboyant Nairobi Womens' Rep Esther Passaris has recognised the Uhuru Kenyatta presidency.

Speaking yesterday at the Chemi Chemi ya Uzima Institute during a funds drive, Passaris asked president Uhuru Kenyatta to heed his call for unity as he crafts his cabinet and government.

''The president has always talked about unity. We would like to see that as he forms his government,'' she said.

Many have interpreted her words as a tacit recognition of the Uhuru President, a development that has not gone down well with opposition supporters who have refused to recognise Uhuru Kenyatta's presidency and insist that veteran opposition leader, Raila Odinga be sworn in..

''Passaris is smart, she knows who the president is,'' Rob Kamau posted on Facebook.

''It was just a matter of time before she sells out,''Amadi Kwayera posted on Facebook.

''Passaris asks president Uhuru to unite the country as he forms the government. What government is she talking about,'' Yustus Odhiambo wrote.
